DeckAdd Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

DeckAdd is a Windows app for the DeckAdd touchscreen control deck. This page explains what information the app uses and how.

Information we collect

DeckAdd does not send or store any personal information on our servers. There are no usage statistics, ads or tracking. Your settings, profiles and sign-in tokens stay on your own computer; passwords and tokens are stored with Windows encryption (DPAPI).

DeckAdd account

If you create an account, this server stores your name, email address, a one-way hash of your password (never the password itself) and, if you sign in with Google / Discord / Steam, that account's ID. "Delete account" in the app permanently removes all of it. Your session token is kept on your computer with Windows encryption.

To confirm your email address we send you a confirmation email through the email delivery service Resend (Resend, Inc.); your email address is passed to that service only for this purpose. If you forget your password, the reset email you ask for is sent through the same service. An account can't be used until its email address is confirmed.

Cloud backup

If "Cloud backup" is turned on in My account, DeckAdd stores your settings (profiles, tiles, window settings, shortcuts, assistant settings, notes and reminders, your store library) and, if you choose, the images, GIFs, borders and sounds you added yourself on this server, linked to your account, so they can be restored when you sign in on another computer. Sign-in tokens of services you connect (Spotify, Discord, Twitch, Kick, Steam) and passwords are never included. You can delete the backup at any time from My account; deleting your account deletes it too.

Services you connect

Sign-in relay

For the last step of Kick and Discord sign-in, the one-time sign-in code is passed to Kick / Discord through this server (Cloudflare Workers). Steam information is also requested (with your Steam ID) through this server. The server does not store or log the code or the returned tokens. Cloudflare may keep technical connection logs as part of its infrastructure.

Disconnecting

"Sign out" / "Disconnect" in DeckAdd deletes the tokens from your computer. You can also remove access in the "Connected apps" section of your Twitch, Kick or Discord account settings. If you choose to delete your data when uninstalling DeckAdd, all settings are removed.

Children

DeckAdd follows the age limits of the services it connects to and is not directed at children under 13.

If this policy changes, the current version will be published on this page.
